Quick take
The Aegis X is the value play in the Aegis lineup. Geekvape kept it in production after the Legend 3 launched because it sells well at discount, and it deserves to. Same IP-rated chassis, same 200W chip, the only meaningful sacrifice is slower USB charging and a slightly larger footprint.
Hands-on notes
The 2.4-inch screen is bigger and easier to read than what’s on the Legend 3, which makes menu diving a little nicer. The fire bar feels identical. We’ve had one of these in regular rotation for two years and the only wear is on the zinc-alloy edges where it bangs against keys.
When to pick it
Pick the X over the Legend 3 if you want to save $20, you don’t need IP68 (the difference is real but most vapers will never test it), or you’ve already got compatible 21700 batteries. The X uses the same Z Max tank, so coils are interchangeable.
