Quick take
The Aegis Legend 3 is the closest thing to a hammer in a vaper’s toolkit. Geekvape’s third-gen flagship trades the second model’s slightly cleaner lines for genuine ruggedness — IP68 sealing, an updated AS-Chip that wakes up faster, and a screen that handles rain without ghosting.
Hands-on notes
We carried this on three weeks of commuting, two damp campsites, and one accidental swim in a fountain. It survived. The fire rocker is wide enough to hit through ski gloves, the screen stays legible in direct sun, and the dual-18650 setup pulls a full work week of moderate sub-ohm vaping before needing a top-up.
The included Z Max tank is the standout. The mesh coils that come with it are the same Z-series heads sold for the older Z2 — so coil supply is already easy to find.
What it is not
This is not a stealth mod. At 177g loaded, it’s a forearm presence. If you want a pocket box for office breaks, look at the Boost Pro 2 instead. The Legend 3 is for vapers who want a single device that handles every condition without babying.
Battery notes
Geekvape ships the Legend 3 without batteries on purpose — it lets the kit ship via more carriers and keeps the price down, but you’ll need to buy a matching pair. Stick with name-brand 18650s rated at 20A or higher. Mismatched cells (one fresh, one old) can stress the chip and reduce battery life dramatically.
What stands out
- 200W max output with sub-second ramp through the AS-Chip 4.0
- IP68 rating against dust, water, and accidental dunks
- Dual 18650 batteries (sold separately) keep heavy sub-ohm sessions alive
- Full-color 1.08-inch screen with five customizable themes
- Tactile rocker fire bar that works with gloves
Things to check before you buy
- Confirm 18650 cells are authentic with matching CDR ratings (use Sony, Samsung, Molicae)
- The kit ships without batteries — budget another $15-25 for a quality pair
- Heavy at 177g — not the right pick if you want a pocket-friendly mod
